As the rain gently falls, its cleansing design

Helps remind I am cleansed, no more need to mourn

Living drops absolve tears, and gently refine.

With the rain comes new growth, so I am reborn

Spirit guides and uplifts, my trust does increase

Loving more with each day, new mercies at morn.

In the rain my heart yields, old self is released

Say good-bye to past sins, they have been erased

Giving Son, forgiveness, you’ve handed me peace.

As you reign my eyes lift, I’m humbled by grace

You abide, walk with me, grant constant rescue

Folding me underneath your wings in embrace.

When the rain spans the sun, your promise shows through

Bidding thanks for the One who made me anew.

  2. Having dog-walked in mud and cold misty rain for a week now (did I mention the muttering – lots of muttering), I will try your thoughts next time. 🙂

  4. Praise God for His rain (reign) over everything we imagine that could keep us from Him. What an encouraging poem. Blessings.

      1. I just have the sense that if we were to meet in person it would take more than a day for that conversation. 😀
