Accepting my adoption
With intended inheritance
The grace and love and compassion revealed
Life is a journey of small surrenders
As I follow, faith ignited,
From you living water flows.
From you, blessing overflows.
I’m branded by your adoption.
This blaze does not consume, but ignited
New Jerusalem my inheritance
This day I choose surrender
Unexplained peace is revealed
Each day your word is revealed
You give eyes to see, meaning flows,
Allow Spirit to teach in surrender,
Maturity grows within adoption,
Mirror clears with inheritance,
Face to face love ignited
A new view you ignited;
The way, the truth, the life revealed,
No laws but love is our inheritance,
From your center concentric circles flow
As we love we show adoption
Transformation, surrender.
Open hands in surrender,
Heart, mind and passion ignited
Cast out fear and embrace my adoption,
Grace and unconditional love revealed,
Through me your spirit and truth flows;
This is my inheritance.
You in me: inheritance.
To this I gladly surrender.
Alive, Immanuel, your Spirit flows
As your abiding Spirit’s ignited
Living word’s mysterious revealed
This branch from roots adoption.
My inheritance, my heart’s ignited;
All I surrender, my soul is revealed
With you my blood flows, holy adoption.
Truly beautiful Susan, words and photo. 🙂

Amen. Awesome poem, Susan. The revelation of our adoption changes everything. We have inheritance now from our Father in Christ, and it gets even better in the age to come when we are face to face and will know as we are known! (1 Cor.13:12)

There is, Tom. I’ve never had such great, internal peace until I came to Christ. It’s unexplainable.
Love to you, too.

It is comforting to read this Susan. Especially as we grow older, we want to know we belong, and there is nothing better than surrendering and belonging to God.

It is comforting, Beth. Before this, I used to so afraid of death. Now, while I want to live as many years as He gives here on earth, I look forward to seeing Him face to face. The fear is gone because I know the treasure that is to come.
