One Soul Outside?

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. (James 1:19)

My friend, please read with open eyes,

I write not to antagonize

But ask to open up your mind

And heart to views you may not find mid-criticize.

Do not let anger rule your speech,

With grace and love incline to teach.

Please open up your current ways

Of thinking; let your let your words always be love for each.

Break through to find agreement, then

Discover common ground again.

To listen well is how it’s made

And when the Spirit is conveyed hearts will transcend.

Refrain from doing this alone;

Let Jesus’ thoughts become your own.

His words and gifts of love and grace

Will fill you with His warm embrace; let Him be known.

In fellowship with Trinity

Our Father’s love will set you free.

There’s no more shame or walls to build;

Just invitation, hearts to fill, and Family.

There’s nevermore an ‘us’ or ‘them;’

No one on earth to still condemn.

He came to earth to save us all,

This was His mission, you’ll recall; this Precious Gem.

And now we take on God’s request

To reconcile at His behest.*

Until we do, we cannot leave

One soul outside; we must believe, we cannot rest.

God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.God sent his Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but to save the world. (John 3:16-17)

  3. “To listen well is how it’s made”. …perfect reminder for so many situations. From being quiet in prayer so we can hear God’s whisper to being a gentle witness. I write now and then on my blog about listening. When it comes to sharing our testimony with a spiritually seeking person, my reminder is to always ” listen and then listen some more!” Thank you for sharing your walk of faith!

    1. “From being quiet in prayer so we can hear God’s whisper to being a gentle witness.” Perfectly said, Rick. Thank you for your contribution here. 🙂
