As I attempt to determine
how to keep my thoughts on you, Lord,
it’s just to you my heart is moored: adoration.
When Satan gains we see no light
that’s visible to guide, unite.
This circumstance calls for our trust,
our patience and our refocused views from God’s sight.
While Jesus breathed, He spoke of love,
The kind that comes from God above.
This love casts out the fear we feel;
Christ comforts us with what is real; limitless Love.
And then the Father’s saving grace
Has placed us all in His embrace.
No longer are we shoved aside;
We are beloved glorified, His precious race.
So as I lift my love to You,
I breathe Your essence deep into
my heart, my body; Your mercy
has helped, with Love, to set me free; my faith’s renewed.
“When I was a child, I spoke, thought, and reasoned in childlike ways as we all do. But when I became an adult, I left my childish ways behind. In the same way, at the present time we can only see a dim view of kingdom things and of the nature of God, like staring into jumbled or blurred reflections in a mirror. I realize that everything I know is only part of the big picture, one off-center piece of the puzzle. But one day, when Jesus arrives, we will see His completeness, face-to-face. In that day, I will fully know just as I have been wholly known by God. Even so, faith, hope, and love remain; these three virtues which must characterize our lives. And the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:11-13)
