He Lifts Me

God is my Shepherd, my Healer, my Comforter, my Teacher, my Light, my Father, my Elder Brother, my Provider. I have no want for anything beyond Him.

He provided a desired haven for me with an arbor of trees around me, lush plants on my deck, and causes me to sit there quietly in repose, in meditation, in respite from the chaotic world around me. It is like being in a green meadow beside quiet waters, with Him lolling beside me, resting in the sun.

There, or in my living room sitting alone with Him, He restores my soul. He, through His Spirit who abides in me now and always, leads me on the right path in order to shine His light and show who He is through my words and actions as I do my best to follow the words and actions of Jesus.

Even though I experience trials and sorrow, I don’t fear and I don’t worry because I know You walk with me through it all. I know You hold me up when I have trouble walking on my own or when circumstances arise to knock me down. You protect me and comfort me by leading me continually toward You.

You provide for me even when the enemy seeks to strike me at my core. You give me Your unconditional love and scandalous grace. You raise me up and my heart overflows with your blessings.

Without question Your grace and love lift me up and will continue to do so the rest of my days here on earth. I look forward to living with You in the New Eden for eternity and I pray I will run to you with open arms as You will greet me.
